Cathy and Barry Beck

Barry and Cathy Beck live in the Fishing Creek Valley of Northeastern Pennsylvania. They are members of the Redington and Action Optics Advisory Boards and work for Rio Products. The Becks conduct fly fishing schools, clinics and presentations and also host fly fishing trips for Frontiers, an international travel agency, and travel to fresh and saltwater destinations.

Their photographs appear regularly in sporting calendars and magazines, including 'Fly Fisherman,' 'Saltwater Fly Fishing,' 'Fly Fishing,' 'Field & Stream,' 'Sports Afield,' 'Gray's Sporting Journal,' 'Outdoor Life,' 'American Angler' and others. The Becks are regular contributors to 'Mid-Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide,' 'Spring Creek Journal' and 'Fly Fish America' magazine.

Books

The Beck's books include Cathy Beck's Fly Fishing Handbook, an all-inclusive guide to fly fishing, published by Lyons Books. Seasons of the Bighorn, a photographic journal of the Bighorn River, Montana, written in collaboration with George Kelly and published by Willow Creek Press, and Fly Fishing the Flats, a handbook and reference for the saltwater fly angler, published by Stackpole Books. They are currently working on their next book, Favorite Pennsylvania Fly Water, to be published by Frank Amato Books.
