Well, the Fall Brown Trout spawn is in full effect here in Colorado on the South Platte river. The section fished otherwise known as the Dream Stream in between 11 mile reservoir and Spinney mountain reservoir proved to be very good and produced the largest Brown Trout of my life. The female laker measured 30 1/4 inches. I had no scale with me and she was pretty tired so tried to get her back in the water as soon as possible. While most people were fishing a 6 weight I decided to take out my 4 weight Sage Launch for a little added fight. I had no idea I was in for the fight of my life. I got my camera out to take the picture and the battery died. My only other alternative was to use a passer bys camera phone which as you will see does not take great pictures. Anyhow, thank you Sage for making a great flyrod that can withstand the pressure I put on it for this fight! You definitely have a customer for life.
