My first trip out with your Z-AXIS 5wt. I caught crap for bringing a flyrod bass fishing by lunch that crap turned into envy after catching this 4.5lb 23in largemouth on a dark olive wooly bugger. It was 7in longer than any fish caught that day, and the biggest bass I have ever caught on fly or spinning rod the weight and action of this rod beat all the expectations I had after talking to others and reading the reviews. I'm almost upset it took me 3 1\2 years to start fishing on base rather than waiting to go home before and after deployments to fish there, now that I know of local spots on Marine Base Camp Pendelton CA. My wife may never see me again, I might have to get her a flyrod of her own.
